PSG players win in Lyon and take the 1st place of the championship

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have claimed victory in the clash against Lyon in a women’s D1 Arkema match on December 12, 2022. This marks the first time PSG has won against Lyon in women’s D1 since a 1-0 victory on November 12, 2014.

OL was defeated on sunday night by the PSG at Groupama Stadium

The match was intense, with Lyon putting up a strong fight. However, they were unable to capitalize on PSG’s defensive weaknesses and convert their chances (20 shots, 5 on target). In the end, it was PSG who found the breakthrough, with Diani Kadidiatou scoring the winning goal in the 87th minute.

This result sees PSG finish the year 2022 as leaders of D1, one point ahead of Lyon. Both clubs have important Champions League matches coming up in the next week.
Lyon will travel to play Arsenal on December 15 and then host Juventus on December 21, while PSG will host Real Madrid on December 16 and then travel to London to play Chelsea on December 22.

The victory in Lyon is a huge boost for PSG, who will be looking to continue their winning streak in the upcoming Champions League matches. It also cements their position at the top of the D1 standings, putting them in a strong position to challenge for the championship title.

Overall, it was a well-deserved win for PSG, who showed determination and grit to secure the victory against a tough opponent.
The team will no doubt be looking to carry this momentum forward into their next matches.
