The Vanc’Invasion Zombie Run Will Take Over the Abandoned Military Fort
The zombie run trend is coming to Lyon on Friday, April 27 at the Fort de Vancia in Rillieux-la-Pape.
500 survivors and 50 zombies will take over the forest and abandoned military fort in a nighttime race to survive. Participants can sign up as zombies or survivors, alone or in teams, and compete in a quest to reach the mysterious Level 3.
Picking a Team: Zombie or Survivor
Organized by Zomb’in The Dark and VanciAventure, the three levels of Vanc’Invasion take participants on a quest through the forest around the fort and into the building.
Survivors can sign up alone or in teams of two or three, though multiple teams can also play together. Armed with maps and headlamps, survivors will try to reach beacons placed around the course and validate them with the Zomb’in The Dark smartphone app.
Zombies and other obstacles will be lying in wait for the unsuspecting survivors. They will gain points to move on to the next level with each beacon scan but lose points if they or a team member get taken out by a zombie. Each player gets two lives.
Zombies can also sign up alone or in a group, will have their makeup done on-site by a professional, and will receive dinner before the race.
Tickets go on sale March 23 at 7 p.m. and space is limited to 500 survivors and 50 zombies. No under-18s allowed.
