Lucy Vanel is the proprietor of Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, a cooking school located at the heart of the Croix Rousse hill. Originally from the U.S., Lucy came to Lyon 18 years ago and is in love with the city, its history, and the food, of course. She is writing for This Is Lyon to share lore and recipes from local culinary traditions, and hopefully encourage others to embark on the project of bringing La Cuisine Lyonnaise to home kitchens all over the world.
