This year Lyon’s Festival of Lights will take place within a vast secure area. Closed off by barriers, access is only allowed through around 40 gates.

What to see during the 2016 Lyon Festival of Lights

 

The illuminations will begin at 8pm and last until around midnight. Our advice to you is to arrive early to avoid long queues and avoid bringing large bags which will be searched. This Is Lyon provides you with a guide to what’s happening within this secure area, which extends from Place Bellecour to Place de Terreaux and also includes the Saint Jean Quarter and Fourviere. There are also several attractions located outside the secure area.
