Lyon’s most famous painter Jacques Truphémus has died

The most renowned contemporary local artist Jacques Truphémus has died on Friday in Lyon at the age of 95.

He was born in 1922 in Grenoble, France. His paintings focus on classical subjects: portraits, still life, landscapes. During the 1950s, several exhibitions in galleries were devoted to him in Lyon, Paris and Annecy. The artist has a proven grip in aesthetic mastery and technical brilliance.
