The Vegetarian Restaurants and Cafés you Have to Visit in Lyon
Andy’s Kitchen, Lyon 3
Not only vegetarian but English too – a Newcastle cook opened Andy’s Kitchen wanting to serve up fresh vegetarian food at lunchtimes for alternative eating. Open from Monday until Friday, Andy’s Kitchen sells vegetarian bagels to take out or eat in – such as hummus and carrot, mozzarella and homemade pesto and feta and courgette.
But the real star of the show is the veggie bowl – roasted vegetables served with rice and the sauce of the moment, such as satay or green curry, or hummus and avocado. Also be sure to try the homemade cookies, which are perfectly gooey in the middle.

Hank Burger, Lyon 1
Hank Burger specialises in vegan fast food – but certainly not junk food. All the burgers are served on a fresh, artisan bun, with a vegan and organic patty, tomatoes, gherkins, salad, onions, and vegetarian cheese. All that’s left for you to choose is the sauce, all of which are original recipes made in house. Wash the burger and fries down with an organic cola.
