Are you ready to run towards the sky of Lyon ?
The Tower Run comes back to the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon for a second edition at the Tour Incity on March 11th to reach the sky of our beloved city.
The concept is pretty simple : the first person to the top of the tower wins the race.
But first, the racer needs to go up the 765 stairs and 35 floors of the building; to put it in perspective, the climb corresponds to an elevation change of 150 meters in a matter of minutes.
Tower running has become a feature of Lyon. The first event was set in the Tour Oxygène, right next to the Part-Dieu shopping center, in 2015 and 2016 before moving to the Tour Incity a few months later.
The Tower Run benefits Handicap International
The vertical race is open to everyone that would like to participate. On your own or as a team, friends or colleagues, trained athletes or sporting newbies.
The Tower Run holds the event for the benefit of Handicap International, an humanitarian organization involved in situations of extreme poverty or disasters. Only a small gesture (2€ for individuals or 15€ for companies) is asked at the registration.
Climb the 765 stairs of the third highest tower of France
Aside from the race itself, the atmosphere is designed to be really festive, with DJ sets or animations set up on the street and even in some floors of the building.
The registration is still running, until March 9th, if you are interested in competing or just challenging yourself, and the enrollment fee stands at 15€ for students, 19€20 for individuals and 45€ for companies. Click here to register for the race.
To reach this Lyon skyscraper, the bus is the easiest way : take line C3 or C13 and hop off at the station Halles Paul Bocuse.
The first wave of 15 racers starts at 9h30 and the last one closes the event at 13h00.
