Wine tasting in English with an expert somm in the Croix-Rousse
Wine tasting in Lyon
Explore Lyon’s diverse local wines with wine tasting at Lyon Wine Tastings, where you’ll be served wines from all of the regions that surround Lyon, including Beaujolais, Burgundy, and the Rhône.
Tastings are held by British American expert sommelier Caroline Conner in her stylish air-conditioned Croix-Rousse apartment.
She hosts lunch time Food and Wine pairing classes as well as Wines of Lyon tastings in the afternoons, and will be open throughout the summer, including August.
Wine tour without the driving
Caroline’s tastings are unique because you get to explore a broad range of wines without having to leave the city, and her accessible, friendly approach to wine education is refreshing.
She only works with small producers and buys her wines directly from the vineyards, so you’re sure to be drinking the good stuff.
With small class sizes, (no more than 8), it’s an intimate experience where you may even leave with some new friends.
Tastings last for about two hours, leaving you plenty of time to keep exploring Lyon. All Lyon Wine Tastings come with the best of the best local bread, cheese, and charcuterie too.
And did we mention the air-conditioning?
