Upgrade your kitchenware with the “La Vaiselle des Chefs” sale

Published: 2018/10/01

Acquire a bit of Lyon’s gastronomical history in your kitchen

From October 13th to 14th 2018, La Vaiselle des Chefs is having their huge annual sale: perfect for those of you who would like to add a bit of Lyon’s history to your cooking utensils and silverware.

This event is based on the idea that chefs and restaurants often change out their cooking utensils, dishes and table decoration. La Vaisselle des Chefs is an organization that recovers these little treasures in order to sell them and give them a new life, rather than throw them out or have them collect dust somewhere.

La Vaisselle des Chefs: October 13th and 14th at les Halles Paul Bocuse

For their 10th edition, the Vaiselle des Chefs sale will take place in les Halles Paul Bocuse from October 13th to 14th. Entry is free, and it will be open from 8:30 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and 8:30 AM to 2 PM on Sunday.

Among the chef and restaurant sellers, you will be able to find:

– Lyon Bocuse Brasseries le Sud, de l’Est and de l’Ouest, as well as Lyon Bocuse restaurants Fond Rose and Marguerite;
-For the first time ever, Auberge de l’Ile and its 3 Michelin-starred chef, Marc Haeberlin, are participating;
-L’Auberge du Père Bise and its chef Jean Sulpice (2 Michelin stars);
-Le Chabichou, with Michel Rochedy and Stéphane Buron (2 Michelin stars);
-Les Trois Dômes and Christian Lherm (1 Michelin star);
-Jérémy Galvan (1 Michelin star);

You can also buy goods from the silversmith Bernard Frizza’s store, MG et Montibert, as well as Pillivuyt (porcelain).

Be sure to look around their website for more detailed descriptions of the exhibitors and what they are selling.

Not to worry: prices are made accessible so that anyone, professionals, amateurs or families, can get their hands on a piece of Lyon’s gastronomical history.
