‘Culture hip-hop’

‘Culture hip-hop’, the name of the Contemporary Art Museum’s latest programme, will begin on the 16th February 2019. The museum wishes to celebrate rap music and its culture, and its way of defying the traditional definition of what ‘art’ is.

Famous Lyonnaise Rapper Will Record Song

The celebration of hip-hop culture will commence with the Lyonnaise rapper PEP recording a track in front of an audience at Lyon’s Contemporary Art Museum. PEP’s music tends to be a mix of electro, instrumental jazz and hip hop/trap music.

Lyon’s Contemporary Art Museum wishes to support talented Lyonnaise artists associated with the genre. That’s why, on the third floor of Lyon’s Contemporary Art Museum, from 2pm until 7pm on the 16th February 2019, PEP will be showcasing his talent.

At 6:30 pm, following a round table discussion between Napoléon La Fossette, Nathalie Canguilhem and Mehdi Maïzi, Zed Yun Pavarotti and Marty de Lutece will perform.

Marty is a rapper from the duo Lutece, whose trap music evokes past memories, fear and nostalgia. On the other hand, Zed Yun Pavarotti is an enigmatic rapper, originally from Saint-Etienne, just outside of Lyon.

If you’re a fan of rap music this is not an event to be missed.
