Dig up hidden treasures with rue Chevreul’s flea market
Every fall since 1990, a huge outdoor flea market is organized on rue Chevreul and its neighboring streets. It always takes place on the first Saturday of the month of October, lasts the whole day and is open to professionals as well as private individuals.
Annually, there are over 400 sellers and 5000 visitors. In 2017, they even got up to the 12000 visitor-mark!
Rue Chevreul’s giant flea market: October 6th, from 9 to 6
This year, the number one garage sale in Lyon will be open on Saturday October 6th. You will be able to access it through rue Chevreul, rue de Marseille and rue Sébastien Gryphe.
It is completely free for visitors, who can come find these hidden treasures from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Sellers, however, must reserve their spot on the My Brocante website. Reservations open every year on July 2nd and cost 22 euros for a linear location of 2 meters. Certain spots can even still be open the day of: simply check with the people at the information booth, between 5 and 6 AM.
The flea market’s opening hours for sellers are 5 AM to 6:30 PM and you have until 8 AM to install your booth.
